Dutchess County Fair - One of the biggest country fairs around, it is held usually the last week of August. The weekend is the busiest, but there’s lots to see and do for the kids. 4H has their displays there, you can buy crafts and handmade furniture, there is a carnival area and lots of food. The fair is held at the Rhinebeck fair grounds.
Rhinebeck Aerodrome - This living museum of antique planes from World War I and World War II is a great place for those of you who love airplanes. The planes actually fly and shows are put on during the summer and fall months. There is a small gift shop and several museum barns to see the planes up close. Rhinebeck, NY (Dutchess County).
Lyndhurst Crafts Fair - This craft fair is one of the best in Westchester. Crafts people from all over the country come twice a year to this show. They have some of the best modern art you can buy. There are puppet shows for children and lots of kettle popcorn and candied nuts. Food and entertainment is also provided during the show. If you’re interested in a tour, go see the Lyndhurst Mansion, the centerpiece of the estate. Usually shows are held in May and September.
